Scientist has been able to mapped coral reef in the Caribbean that has high potential of
escaping destruction from Marine heat waves, and they are predominantly located in the
shoreline of the north of cuba and other promising site around the Bahamas, Dominican
Republic, Guadeloupe, Haiti, Eastern Jamaica and the US state of Florida.
Coral reef are underwater ecosystem characterized by reef-building corals. Coral reef are
ocean wonders and are the most threatened ecosystem of the planet, and according to IPCC
report less than 10-30% of coral reef is expected to survived if warming continue to increase.
