NEW TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCED TO RAISE HEALTHY SEA FOOD AMIDST OCEAN CRISES

Researchers have designed a new method to make dissolved oxygen (DO2) available for shrimp
in ponds in a more sustainable way. Due to the vast energy requirements of the traditional
aerator, it was not feasible to power it in a remote area.
As a result, the researcher developed a photovoltaic-powered automatic pond aerator for shrimp
ponds in Gunung Anyar Tambak Village, which is a fast-growing shrimp industry.
It was hoped that the sufficient dissolved oxygen in this pond would allow shrimp to grow
rapidly and healthy.
