An effect of climate change to the ocean is sea level rise. Researchers from Standford university have examined the coastal communities in San Mateo County, California — including half the households in East Palo Alto and found out that they are at a risk if financial Instability from future events of flooding.
The scientist at Standford University suggestes that policy makers should make plans for future coastal flooding especially in vulnerable communities.
