To honour this year’s World Ocean Day, on June 3rd, Aquaworld, in collaboration with Mundus Maris, extended our passion for ocean literacy to the next generation. Our team engaged local schools in Akure, Ondo State, with the aim of educating students about the importance of World Ocean Day and the crucial role our oceans play in sustaining life on Earth.

The program featured interactive sessions and engaging activities designed to inspire young minds to become stewards of our marine ecosystems. Students participated in various activities, including:

Ocean Palette: Creative projects that highlight the beauty and diversity of marine life.

Quiz Competitions: Fun and educational quizzes that tested their knowledge about ocean conservation.

Plastic Pollution Landscaping: Hands-on activities focused on the impact of plastic waste on marine environments.

Through these initiatives, we aimed to empower future leaders to take an active role in protecting our oceans and making a positive impact on our planet’s future. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the schools, students, and our dedicated team for making this outreach program a success.
